How the calculator works
Result points use the 2025 World Athletics scoring tables. A mark between table entries receives the lower points value. Placing points use the 2026 track and field tables. Your performance score is result points plus placing points.
Discus uses five counting performances. The ranking score is their average, rounded down, plus applicable world-record bonuses. “Lowest, if improved” keeps the best five; choosing a specific score forces its replacement, which can reduce the average.
Use eligible, officially ratified senior performances and the competition’s official World Athletics category. Qualification points use overall qualification positions, not a single group’s placing. Athlete eligibility and championship membership restrictions must be checked separately.
This simulator replaces one score in a supplied set. It does not automatically apply expiry dates, championship retention exceptions, changes to other athletes, or new world-record bonuses. Check your eligible scores for the intended ranking date before entering them.
